WHAT IS THE WELL-BEING ASSESSMENT?
To meet statutory requirements contained within the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015 the Neath Port Talbot Public Services Board has prepared an assessment of well-being in Neath Port Talbot (NPT).
This website is designed to provide a high level description.
There are three layers to this Well-being Assessment:
This suite of web-pages designed to provide a high level description, drawing out the key points that describe well-being in the whole area and each of the eight community areas.
A suite of downloadable PDFs which provide a more detailed description of the four pillars of well-being: cultural, social, environmental and economic for the whole of Neath Port Talbot and the eight community areas (see ‘Download PDFs’ section below).
A technical layer of source evidence that was drawn on to carry out the assessment of well-being.

INTRODUCTION TO THE MEANING AND INTENTION OF THE ACT:
METHODOLOGY
The Act sets out what the NPT Public Services Board must do in preparing the assessment:
Set out the communities that comprise NPT
Analyse the state of well-being in each community and the whole of NPT
Analyse the state of well-being of the people in NPT
Include any further analysis that the Public Services Board carries out for assessing the well-being of NPT
Include predictions of future likely trends in NPT
Refer to National Indicators issued by Welsh Government
Include any other related analytical data and information the Public Services Board considers appropriate
